The Pipsies Volume 1

HouseChapter one: The Pipsies find a new home
"All the Pipsies clapped their little hands and danced with joy. They were all going to be safe. They were going to start a new adventure in a new garden"

Chapter two: The strawberry feast
"Suddenly, plonk, they landed right in the middle of the strawberry patch. Poor Tilly landed right on top of one and had to be rescued"

Chapter three: Mr Oscar
"Bobby said, 'Do you hear that? That tree spoke!' 'Yes I did', said Peter. Tilly and Polly stood there shaking and grabbing each others hands. This was all too much for them'"Strawberry

Chapter four: The Christmas present
Peter swung the swing higher and higher. 'I am getting a little bit scared', said Polly. 'You are quite safe with me', said Peter. 'I can see right over the tree tops and up into the clouds'

Chapter five: The bad apple tree
"The children sat down by the big apple tree and were about to take a nibble when a booming voice called out to them..."

 

The Pipsies Volume 2

Chapter one: Mrs Bentwood
"Mrs Bentwood was a strange lady, she wore a blue bonnet, a long dress that was covered in flowers and glasses that perched on the end of her long, thin nose."

Chapter two: A celebration
"'Mr Oscar I am going to have a party soon for my seventh birthday'.
'Is that so young lady?' said Mr Oscar bending over to talk to Polly.
'Yes' said Polly, 'and all my friends are coming.'
'Am I invited?' said Mr Oscar.
'Of course!' said Polly.

Chapter three: The fair
"'Yes I already know about the Fair children, news travels fast through the trees you know. I will be talking to all the trees tonight to see what we can do to help, the Fair is going to be held in my park,' he added.
'That's very good of you' said Peter.

Chapter four: Peter and Timothy's adventure
"Soon they were in the forest. It was really dark; the trees were tall, very thick and close together. The ground was covered in pine needles which made a big brown carpet. 'I am a bit scared,' said Polly to her cousin Bea."

Chapter five: Peter's birthday
"Soon they were at the waterfall. 'My, this is big!' said Peter to Bobby. Bobby gave a nod. 'Can we cross the swing bridge to the other side Father?' said Peter.
'Yes you can but stay close to me' replied Father."

Volume 2 is dedicated to Kay's brother Captain Tony Parrish who passed away in October of this year.
